Ahhhh!!! My horned girls!! I literally came up with these two in a dream 'bout 3 weeks ago >w< I've been drawing them traditionally non-stop (seriously my sketchbook is filled with them xD) so I'm so happy I finally got to draw them digitally!!! My horned baby (on the left) is Kalthia; and my antlered one (on the right) is Tinywl. Names just came to me too so excuse me if they're a bit odd~

The cityscape in the background is a paint over practice of a royalty-free image I found on Google ^v^'

Hey there, I'm from
  • :iconprojectcomment: - :iconprojectcomment:
and I thought I might try and rustle up a critique for you.
So I really like their general appearances and outfits ( especially the low slung belt on Kalthia? its a nice detail that i find reminiscent of gunslingers for some reason) and I like how they're both staring at us the viewer, it add a strong sense of interaction that would be otherwise absent from the piece.
As for those area's a I feel need a little work, lets start with the heads. Some of you general proportions are slightly off, take Tinywl for example ( the one on the right). Her eyes are set just a smidgen too low, creating the impression that her forehead is too large.  I don't really have a measurement to give you that will fix this on future occassion because at a casual glace it looks properly situated ( half way between the top of the head ( the skull no the hair) and the bottom of the chin. Another slight difficult with Tinywl is that her nose might be tilted a little to extremely, because if you looked at her in a front view it'd look a bit like a pig's snout, or at least like when you take the tip of your nose and push it upward so that the nostrils are pointing out rather than down.  That's an easy fix though, just take the tip of her nose and point it down somewhat. ( Yes I know her head is tilted upward, the problem is still there unfortunately :comfort:  )
As a last note about Tinylw, I'd like to mention that her antlers don't feel large or maybe thick enough. For a body feature that's meant to get rammed into things, they seem mighty flimsy. It doesn't really matter at all because she's a fantasy character, but depending on how realistic you want to be I might suggest giving them some more weight.

Alright, onto her friend Kalthia. She too has a minor difficulty with her facial structure, namely that her nose is place a little to high.  A good rule of thumb to follow with this difficulty is that a person's nose falls about halfway between their bowline and the bottom of their chin. Easy enough right? the last problem with Kalthia face is that her mouth may be placed a little too high. The rule to follow with this is that the bottom of someone's bottom lip falls halfway between their nose and  the bottom of their chin.

I don't want to rail on you too much so I leave you with a final, parting remark. The way Tinywl and kalthia hold their guns ( great job on these by the way) feel awkward. If you want them to look and feel professional, you can't have them holding their weapon in weird ways. Tinywl is probably the ickiest, because twisting your hand so the palm faces the opposite direction is already slightly uncomfortable and when you add the weight of a gun ( ten fifteen pounds maybe idk) it might even get painful, plus you have to account for the half-a-second it takes her to correct her grip in order to fire. Kalthia's back hand/ leftmost one if far less grievous, but because of all the action movie posters running around it still feels a little off.

Whelp, that's all I got for you I hope it helps.
